SANTA MONICA, Calif.
— Universal Studios announced Monday that the company will revive “Cars 2” with a new movie in 2018.
The studio announced the plans at a press conference on the fourth floor of Universal Studios West Hollywood.
“The new ‘Cats’ film will follow the adventures of a young driver named Alex and his pals as they set out on a new journey to save their neighborhood from the evil of Dr. Robotnik.”
The new movie is set to be released in 2018 and is the sequel to “Cats” released in 2009. “
